About the Conversation

On 3 November 2026, Coffee & Research Beans welcomed Dr Alexandra Onisie for a special conversation inspired by her book, Let Me Be a Child.

Bringing together perspectives on parenting, professional identity, wellbeing and personal growth, the event provided an opportunity to reflect on the importance of listening to children’s voices and understanding their experiences.

The conversation connected research and lived experience, encouraging participants to consider how empathy, reflection and meaningful dialogue can shape our relationships, both personally and professionally.

Meet Our Guest

Dr Alexandra Onisie is an engineer, senior project manager, coach and author. With a background in academia and industry, she brings together technical expertise, professional leadership and personal experience.

Her book, Let Me Be a Child, explores parenting through the perspective of a child, inviting parents, carers and educators to reflect on the importance of understanding children’s emotions, needs and experiences.
